On Saturday October 4, 2014 at approximately 8:23 am a Ford driven by a 62 year old Kitchener woman collided with a police cruiser while the officer was turning her cruiser around in the area of Ottawa St S and Howe Dr, Kitchener. The 62 year old woman was taken to Grand River Hospital as a precaution and was released. The officer received minor injuries. The police officer was charged with making a U-turn – near crest or grade – no clearview contrary to Section 143(c) Highway Traffic Act.
