Over a two-day period, September 25th and 26th, the Guelph Police have attended to seven motor vehicle collisions throughout the city involving pedestrians or cyclists. A number of Highway Traffic Act offences are cited as the cause of these collisions including pedestrian fail to use crosswalk, red light – fail to stop, turn not in safety, disobey stop sign – fail to stop, improper bicycle lighting, and riding bicycle on sidewalk (Guelph By-Law). Guelph Police wish to remind you that the rules of the road apply not only to motor vehicles but to cyclists and pedestrians as well. Please share the road safely!
