Multiple Liquor Charges – Ambulance Called for Unconscious 15 Year Old Vodka Drinker – 14 Year Old Female Runs From Police

(ST.MARYS, ON) On Friday April 08, 2011, Perth County OPP officers were kept busy in town as numerous persons were found in violation of the Liquor Licence Act.

Shortly after 7 p.m. officers were called to the parking lot of the Pyramid Centre where young males had been observed drinking beer. Upon police arrival a 17 year old male from Stratford was charged with “being a person under 19 years having liquor”. A total of 56 bottles of beer and two bottles of hard liquor were seized.

At approximately 7:45 p.m. a 16 year old male from Monkton was observed drinking beer on the Pyramid Centre lot. He was charged with “Person under 19 years consuming liquor”.

Shortly after 8 p.m. a young female was observed trying to hide a bottle of liquor on a garbage dumpster at the Pyramid Centre and then attempted to run from police. The female was located and charged with “being a person under 19 years having liquor”. She was found to be a 14 year old Stratford resident.

Around 10:40 p.m., Perth County OPP officers assisted Perth County Ambulance attendants at the Pyramid Centre as they had been called to an unconscious female in a washroom. A 15 year old female from the Township of Perth South had been drinking vodka from a water bottle to the point of unconsciousness.

At 11:30 p.m. officers charged an 18 year old male from Stratford on the Pyramid Centre parking lot with “driving a motor vehicle with liquor readily available”. Twenty two bottles of beer were seized from his vehicle.
