(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – Yesterday, June 10, 2016 officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to investigate a collision on Simcoe Street, just south of Manilla.
At approximately 4:50 pm a southbound pick-up truck, towing a camper trailer, had a tire come off the trailer. The loose tire then struck a northbound motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle, a 55 year old female, sustained serious injuries and was transported from the scene to hospital. A second motorcycle driver, a 57 year old male, also sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital.
The collision is still under investigation.
