MOTORCYCLIST CHARGED WITH STUNT DRIVING

(Midland,On) – A member of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police on routine patrol observed a motorcyclist at 4:20pm August 19,2014 commit a driving violation while heading east bound on Highway 12 near the Wye River bridge.
The ensuing investigation resulted in 31 year old Jonathan BAILEY of Tay Township being charged with – Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt- All Tires Not in Contact With Highway contrary to section 172(1) of the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
Pursuant to the stunt driving legislation his motorcycle was towed and impounded for 7 days and his driving privileges have also been suspended for 7 days.
He will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Penetanguishene at a future date.
