(Highlands East, ON) – Members from the Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attend a serious motorcycle collision on Highway 118 in the area of Essonville Line, Saturday evening shortly before 4:30pm.
A motorcycle ridden by a 40 year old male from Clarington left the roadway, lost control and entered the ditch. As a result of having been ejected from the motorcycle the driver received serious injuries and was transported to a Toronto area hospital by Ornge air ambulance.
Sadly the driver later succumbed to those injuries while in hospital.
Members of the Haliburton Highlands OPP and the OPP Technical Collision Section continue to investigating the collision.
