Motor Vehicle Collision Results In Careless Driving Charge

Motor Vehicle Collision – On Thursday October 25, 2012 at 3:04 p.m., Guelph Police and Emergency personnel responded to a collision at the intersection of Gordon Street and Dean Avenue Guelph. Investigation revealed that a red Dodge vehicle was stopped waiting to make a left turn into a private driveway when it was struck from behind by a black Jeep. The two occupants of Dodge and the driver of the Jeep were transported to the hospital with what were believed to be minor injuries. Both motor vehicles received extensive damages estimated at $20,000. Gordon Street was closed for a short time so that emergency personnel could tend to the injured.

The driver of the black Jeep was subsequently charged with Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
