MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION ON OLD CHURCH ROAD

CALEDON, ON) – On Tuesday, October 1, 2013 shortly after 1:47 pm, the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Emergency Services personnel responded to a motor vehicle collision on Old Church Road. Preliminary investigation would reveal that the vehicle was travelling eastbound on Old Church Road. For unknown reasons, the driver of the vehicle struck a curb then veered into a 5-ton truck which was parked on the gravel portion of the roadway. The male driver was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The 5-ton truck was unoccupied at the time of the collision.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators have been called to investigate the motor vehicle collision and the investigation is still on-going. Further details surrounding this collision will be provided as they become available.

Old Church Road from Marilyn Street to Innis Lake Road remains closed during the investigation.
