Motor vehicle collision

The Chatham-Kent Police Traffic Unit is currently investigating a serious motor vehicle collision that occurred yesterday.

At 5:28 p.m. police received a 911 call about a serious motor vehicle collision on Pain Court Line between Bear Line and Winter Line Road.

The collision involved two vehicles.

A green Ford Windstar minivan and a black Ski-doo snowmobile collided when the minivan was making a turn. The driver of the minivan, a 45-year-old woman from Pain Court suffered minor injuries. The driver of the snowmobile, a 31-year-old Chatham man, suffered major injuries. He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance by ground ambulance and immediately airlifted to the London Health Sciences Centre – Victoria Hospital with life threatening injuries.

The total damage is estimated at $20,000.
