Just before 3:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Queen Street near Tweedsmuir Avenue in Chatham.
A 67-year-old Morpeth woman was travelling southbound on Queen Street when she attempted to change lanes. While doing so, she struck a First Student school bus being driven by a 56-year-old Chatham woman. There were 21 students on the bus at the time of the collision, luckily no one was injured. Damage was estimated at $1500.
The Morpeth woman was charged with change lanes not in safety, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
