(Prescott) On April 22 2015 at approximately 4:15 pm Grenville County OPP attended a motor vehicle collision on the 401 Hwy westbound just west of the Town of Prescott.
Investigation shows traffic was slowing down for a lane merger due to construction. A white 2005 Freightliner transport with trailer failed to slow with traffic and struck the rear of a 2010 International transport with trailer which in turn struck a third trailer. The damaged transport trailers blocked all lanes and causing the 401 Hwy westbound lanes to be closed for just over 4 hours.
The driver of the 2005 Freightliner, DHALIWAY, Prempal Singh from Stoney Creek Ontario was taken to hospital with non- life threatening injuries. He has been charged with Careless Driving.
