More Stunt Drivers Nabbed

(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, ON) – Members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have been busy conducting traffic enforcement patrols in the County of Middlesex.

On September 23, 2017, at approximately 3:00 p.m., a Middlesex County OPP officer observed a motor vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Richmond Street, Middlesex Centre.

The black, Mercedes sedan was measured to be travelling at 144 kilometers per hour (km/h) in an 80 km/h zone.

A traffic stop was conducted, and as a result of the police investigation, 24-year-old male, Peter KARAN from London, has been charged with race a motor vehicle, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).

On September 23, 2017, at approximately 4:00 p.m., a Middlesex County OPP officer observed a motor vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Richmond Street, near Thirteen Mile Road, Middlesex Centre.

The red, Hyundai sedan was measured to be travelling at 133 km/h in an 60 km/h zone.

A traffic stop was conducted, and as a result of the police investigation, 24-year-old male, Siar JAN from Milton, has been charged with race a motor vehicle, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).

On September 24, 2017, at approximately 8:30 a.m., a Middlesex County OPP officer observed a motor vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Elginfield Road, near Prospect Hill Road, Middlesex Centre.

The beige, Volkswagen sedan was measured to be travelling at 135 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.

A traffic stop was conducted, and as a result of the police investigation, 59-year-old female, Catharine DE JAGER-ARGYLE from London, has been charged with race a motor vehicle, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).

On September 25, 2017, at approximately 8:00 p.m., a Middlesex County OPP officer observed a motor vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Mitchell Line, near Elginfield Road, Lucan Biddulph.

The white, Ford van was measured to be travelling at 138 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.

A traffic stop was conducted, and as a result of the police investigation, 28-year-old male, Mark MICHALAK from London, has been charged with race a motor vehicle, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).

All vehicles were seized for 7 days, and the operator’s driver’s licences were suspended for 7 days.
