More Stunt Drivers Charged

(Mono, ON) – On Tuesday September 27, 2016 at 2 pm a Dufferin OPP Traffic enforcement officer observed two pickup trucks racing on Highway 10 southbound at County Road 10 in the Town of Mono. The first truck was a 2006 Dodge pickup traveling at 139 km in a posted 80 km zone. The second pickup was a 2014 Ford pickup traveling at 136 km in the same speed zone.

A Traffic stop was initiated on both vehicles and a 22 year old male from Schomberg and 22 year old male from Mono were charged with Stunt driving.

Later the same day on Mono Amaranth Town Line at Northbound Cadillac was clocked at 137km in a posted 70 km per hour zone. A traffic stop was initiated and a

48 year female driver from Amaranth Township was charged with stunt driving

All three drivers had their drivers licenses suspended for 7 days and vehicles impounded for 7 days. They will appear in Orangeville court at a later date.
