More Impaired Drivers Busted

(NAPANEE, ON)- Officers with the Napanee Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police made two impaired driving arrests early Saturday morning.

On December 11, 2015 at 12:39 a.m. police were notified of a possible impaired driver going through the drive thru at a business on Centre Street.

Police located the suspect vehicle, a blue Volkswagen headed southbound on Centre Street.

The vehicle was stopped and the driver was subsequently arrested for impaired driving.

Charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80 mgs is

39 year-old Adam PELLATT of Napanee.

He was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court in Napanee on December 22nd, 2015.

On December 11, 2015 at 12:44 a.m. officers conducted a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) check on Camden Road in the Town of Greater Napanee.

Officers detected an odour of an alcoholic beverage on a driver’s breath and administered a roadside alcohol screening test. The driver failed and was arrested for over 80 mgs and taken to the Napanee OPP detachment for further breath tests.

Charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80 mgs is

42 year-old Jason WOOD of Napanee.

He was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court in Napanee on December 29, 2015.
