More Impaired Drivers Busted

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – Officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted two separate investigations on the weekend that led to alcohol related criminal driving charges.

On May 7, 2016 at approximately 1:25am a vehicle was stopped on Kirkfield Road, south of Kirkfield, and an investigation commenced. The 19 year old driver, George ALLDRED of Fenelon Falls was arrested and charged with the following offences:

Driving with More than 80 mgs of Alcohol in 100ml of Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)

Young Driver – B.A.C. above zero contrary to section 44.1(5) of the Highway Traffic Act

Driving Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor contrary to section 32(1) of the Liquor Licence Act

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on June 2, 2016.

On May 8, 2016 at approximately 3:25pm a vehicle was stopped on Colborne Street in Fenelon Falls and an investigation commenced. The driver, 55 year old Murray SNODDEN of Fenelon Falls was arrested and charged with Driving with More than 80 mgs of Alcohol in 100 ml of Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the CCC. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on June 2, 2016.
