More Impaired Drivers Busted

(SIOUX LOOKOUT, ON) On June 17, 2016 while conducting a RIDE check, a 24 year old Sioux Lookout male was issued a 72 hour suspension for being in the warn range.

On June 18, 2016, while conducting a RIDE check, Charles OGEMAH (41) of Machin, Ontario was charged with Adult Driving while Disqualified – court order contrary to Section 259(4) of the Criminal Code and Adult Driving with More than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood, contrary to Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.

On June 19, 2016, while conducting a RIDE check, Bradley MESICH (43) of Sioux Lookout, Ontario was charged with Adult Driving with More than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood, contrary to Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.

Also on June 19, 2016, Police received a 911 call about an impaired driver on Highway 72. Officers located the vehicle and determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol. As a result, Candace SHABAQUAY (28) of Sioux Lookout, Ontario was charged with Adult Driving While Ability Impaired-motor vehicle (Alcohol & Drug) contrary to Section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code, and Adult Possession of a Schedule II Substance-Cannabis Marijuana – under 30 grams contrary to the (CDSA) Controlled Drug & Substances Act Section 4(1).

All 3 are scheduled to appear in Sioux Lookout Provincial Court on July 26, 2016 to answer to the charges.

On June 20, 2016, Riley BARKMAN (25) of Sioux Lookout, Ontario was charged with Adult Driving While Ability Impaired-motor vehicle (alcohol) contrary to Section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code, and Adult Driving with More than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood contrary to Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.

BARKMAN will appear in Sioux Lookout Provincial Court on August 2, 2016 to answer to the charges.
