More Impaired Drivers Busted

(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On September 17th, 2016, at approximately 12:05am officers from the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a motor vehicle on Fraser Driver in Trenton.

Following an investigation it was determined that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol and that the driver did not have insurance for the motor vehicle.

Jake MCCUMBER, 23, of Ameliasburgh has been charged with:

Care and Control Over 80mgs, Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code

Drive motor vehicle No Insurance

The male was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice Belleville on September 29th, 2016.

(QUINTE WEST, ON) — On September 17th, 2016, at approximately 1:25am officers from the Quinte West Detachment of the OPP received information regarding a possible impaired driver.

Police located the driver of the motor vehicle on Old Highway 2. As a result of the investigation police arrested the driver for impaired driving.

Daniel GERROW, 41, of Orono has been charged with:

Driving While Ability Impaired- motor vehicle (Alcohol), Section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code

Care and Control Over 80mgs, Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code

Driving While Disqualified Section 259(4) of the Criminal Code

The male was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice Belleville on October 6th, 2016.

ASSAULT/OBSTRUCT POLICE

(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On September 18th, 2016, at approximately 2:30am officer from the Quinte West Detachment of the OPP attended an establishment in Trenton for the report of a disturbance.

When officers arrived on scene they were met by several uncooperative parties.

During the course of the investigation police arrested a 25 year old male from Trenton. During the arrest a 20 year old and 21 year old female attempted to intervene in the arrest.

The females have been charged with Obstruct Peace Officer Section 129(a) of the Criminal Code.

The 25 year old male has been charged with Obstruct Police Officer as well as Assault Peace Officer 270(1)(a) Criminal Code of Canada.

All the parties involved were released on Promise to Appears with court dates on October 29th, 2016, at the Ontario Court of Justice 15 Bridge Street West, Belleville.
