More Impaired Drivers Arrested

(Douro-Dummer Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle and investigated the driver during the early morning hours on Saturday just after 3:30am.

The vehicle was stopped by officers on Parkhill Road East.

Zachary Andrew Kenneth KATCHER (age 19) of Lindsay, ON was arrested and charged with:

Operating a vehicle with more than 80mg of alcohol in his blood

Novice driver with more than zero blood alcohol concentration

Young driver with more than zero blood alcohol concentration

The accused is scheduled to appear in Peterborough Provincial Court on November 26, 2015.

(Municipality of Trent Lakes, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle at t RIDE program on Lakehurst Road on Saturday just before 1:00pm.

Craig MCDOWELL (age 60) of Orangeville, ON was arrested and charged with:

Operating a vehicle with more than 80mg of alcohol in his blood

The accused is scheduled to appear in Peterborough Provincial Court on November 12, 2015.

The vehicle was stopped by officers on Highway 28 and Strickland Street.

Curt TAVERNER (age 36) of North Kawartha Township, ON was arrested and charged with:

Operating a vehicle with more than 80mg of alcohol in is blood

Speeding 111km/h in an 80 km/h zone

Driving with open container of liquor

The accused is scheduled to appear in Peterborough Provincial Court on November 26, 2015.

(Asphodel-Norwood Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped an erratic driver Sunday morning just after 12:00am.

A citizen called 911 to report a suspected impaired driver on Highway 7. Jake DEVINEY (age 22) of Asphodel-Norwood, ON was arrested and charged with:
