On September 6, 2013 Quinte West OPP responded to the Montrose Rd area for the report of a person attempting to gain entry to vehicles. As officers arrived on scene they observed a van that was parked in the area. A check of the vehicle showed that the van had been reported stolen from Belleville City on September 5th.
Quinte West OPP officers with the assistance of Belleville City Police officer setup a perimeter in the area and K9 and ERT members for the OPP attempted a track the suspect with negative results.
