(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On September 26, 2015 at approximately 6:39 p.m., Conservation Officers from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry located the harvesting of suspected marihuana at a property on 12th Line, Wellington North Township involving 3 men and a woman. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers attended the scene and the suspects were arrested. Three were released at the scene with a court date and one was brought to a local OPP Operations Centre.
On September 27, the Wellington County OPP Street Crime Unit (SCU) along with uniform patrol officers executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant on the property. Police seized suspected marihuana plants and suspected dried marihuana.
48-year-old Rickey BUTT of Wellington North Township is charged with Possession of Marihuana over 30 grams and Produce Marihuana contrary the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on November 10, 2015.
55-year-old Carl Blanchard of Brampton, 65-year-Diane BUTT and 67 year-old Ulrick BUTT of Wellington North Township are all charged with Possession of Marihuana over 30 grams. They are to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on November 10.
