Mitchell Robert FOSTER – Drunk Driving

(Alfred-Plantagenet, ON) – In the night of Sunday November 3rd, shortly after 12:30 am, Hawkesbury OPP received a call of a collision on County Road 17, west of Concession 5 in Alfred-Plantagenet.

Constables Pascal Boudreau and Francine Lévesque noticed a truck in the north side ditch of the road with extensive damages. The occupants were uninjured.

Interaction with the driver gave Constable Boudreau reason to believe that he had consumed alcohol. Further investigation revealed that the driver had blood alcohol content over the permitted limit.

The driver was consequently arrested for driving a motor vehicle while having over 80 mgs of alcohol per 100 mgs of blood.

The vehicle was seized for 7 days and his driver’s licence immediately suspended for 90 days.

Mitchell Robert FOSTER (22 yrs) of Eldon Township, was charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following sections:

– 253(1)(b) – Blood Alcohol Content Exceed 80 Milligrams.

– 249(1) Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle

He was later released on a promise to appear in court on November 20th, in L’Orignal.
