(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment has suspended a 20-year-old male driver of his driving privileges after a traffic stop on Highway 6 near Fourth Line in Caledonia, Haldimand County, Ontario.
On Monday November 28, 2016, at approximately 1:04 a.m., OPP were conducting routine patrol on Highway 6 when a vehicle caught an alert officer’s attention.
OPP stopped the vehicle and investigated.
OPP spoke with the male driver and suspected he had consumed alcohol.
As a result of OPP investigation, 20-year-old Mitchell CREECHAN of Hagersville, Ontario was served an offence notice for speeding and also had his driver’s licence suspended for three days for being a Novice driver with a blood alcohol concentration above zero.
Under the Highway Traffic Act, no one under the age of 22 years can have any amount alcohol in their blood.
