(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a missing person on Thursday, August 28, 2014 approximately 10:30 pm near Sioux Narrows on Lake of the Woods.
Members of the OPP and OPP Marine Unit attended at the scene and were assisted by Sioux Narrows Fire, Search and Rescue, Paramedics and Treaty Three Police.
Investigation revealed that a male had fallen into the lake from shore and could not be located.
The OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit (USRU) have been contacted and are expected to arrive later today to begin a search for the missing man.
The man has been identified as Roger HABERER, age 56 from Nebraska USA.
