(Upper Ottawa Valley, ON) – On August 28, 2014, members if the Upper Ottawa Valley detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an overdue kayaker who was out on the Ottawa River near Petewawa.
Today, the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Team located the body of Larry Vanhooren, 60 of Petewawa deceased. No foul play is suspected.
The OPP would like to thank the Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre (JRCC) for their assistance.
