(KENORA, ON) –The search for missing Kenora teen Azraya KOKOPENACE has concluded after she was found deceased close to the location of where she was last seen.
Members of the Kenora OPP began searching for 14 year old Azraya KOKOPENACE on Friday April 15, 2016 after she left the Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora around 11:20 pm. She was observed entering a wooded area on Lakeview Drive.
The search continued with a large number of police and community resources and on Sunday April 17, 2016 shortly after 4:30 pm KOKOPENACE was located by members of the Bear Clan who were assisting in the search. She was found deceased and foul play is not suspected at this time.
The Coroner attended the scene and a post mortem examination will be conducted at a location and date to be determined. The investigation is continuing.
