Mismatched Licence Plates Leads To Methamphetamine Bust In Owen Sound

Just after 1:00 p.m. today, two officers were on patrol in the downtown core of the city when they observed a suspicious vehicle with two different licence plates, neither of which was registered for the vehicle they were attached to. The officers followed the vehicle, a Dodge Ram pick-up truck and stopped it in the 900 block of 4 th Avenue East. The driver of the truck was found to be on bail conditions to not occupy the driver’s seat of a motor vehicle and was also on probation.

The passenger of the vehicle who had warrants out for his arrest in another jurisdiction attempted to obstruct the officers by providing another name to avoid arrest.

Officers located another identifying number on the vehicle body identifying it as an unregistered unfit vehicle.
