Minor Collision on Highway 11

(GRAVENHURST, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Bracebridge detachment responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a school bus on Highway 11 Northbound near Sedore Road, in the Town of Gravenhurst.

At approximately 8:30 am this morning a school bus stopped to pick up passengers on Highway 11. The bus was struck from behind by a truck causing little damage to the bus and no injuries to anyone involved. The paramedics were called as a precautionary measure to ensure all passengers were not injured as a result of the collision.

The OPP closed Highway 11 Northbound for a short time to transfer the passengers onto a second bus.

Driving conditions can change rapidly at this time of year and the OPP is issuing a reminder to slow down, pay attention and exercise winter driving safety.
