Mini Excavator Stolen From Listowel Farm Supply

(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) – On Friday April 22, 2016, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called to Listowel Farm Supply Ltd. on Line 87 north of Listowel, where it was discovered that a John Deere Mini excavator had been removed from the property.

Investigation revealed that sometime between 5 p.m. Thursday April 21st, and 8 a.m. Friday April 22nd, an unknown person(s) drove a pickup truck type vehicle towing a sturdy flat-bed trailer onto the lot. The truck and trailer were backed up to the excavator which was parked on the west side of the company lot. A heavy chain or cable would have been required to winch the 3.5 ton machine onto the trailer. Extensive drag marks were left behind on the lot in the area where it was removed.

The stolen machine is described as; a yellow, 2004 John Deere Mini Excavator Model 35C. (See attached picture of similar excavator)

The Perth County OPP is requesting anyone who may have observed suspicious activity around Listowel Farm Supply Ltd. around the time in question, or who knows the whereabouts of the stolen excavator, to contact them at 1-888-310-1122.
