(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON)- On Thursday December 19, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will be taking to the ice against students from Glencoe District High School in the 12th Annual Dale Wager Memorial Hockey Game.
Over the last 12 years officers and students from the local high school hockey team have battled in a fun and spirited event. Each year approximately 300 students attend the local game to cheer on their local heroes as they battle for bragging rights. To attend the game each student will make a donation of a non-perishable food items. These food items are collected on behalf of all area students and donated to the Glencoe Food Bank, who prepare and distribute Christmas baskets for more than 200 families in the Glencoe area in time for the holiday season.
The Middlesex OPP is proud to participate is such a worthwhile community event and would like to invite members of the local media to come and see the true spirit of giving by our local youth.
