Michelle Choma, Shannon Gottfried and Jason MacDonald – Methamphetamine

(MAPLETON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On November 27, 2013, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), with the assistance of Wellington County OPP, and West Region Canine, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on Wellington Street in the Town of Drayton, Mapleton Twp.

As a result of the execution of the search warrant, police seized a quantity of methamphetamine and cannabis marihuana. The combined estimated value of the seized controlled substances is $1691.00. Police also seized offence related property that consisted of trafficking equipment, along with $125.00 cash.

Michelle Choma aged 37 years and Shannon Gottfried aged 36 years both of Mapleton Township, have each been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purposes of Trafficking and Possession of Cannabis Marihuana contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Jason MacDonald aged 37 years of no fixed address has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Failing to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

All three accused persons are scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on January 17, 2014 to answer to their charges.
