(East-Hawkesbury, ON) On November 19th, 2013, in the Municipality of East-Hawkesbury, while on patrol shortly after 11 am on Highway 417, OPP Constable Mario Bourgeois observed a grey 2013 Ford Fusion traveling at 153 km/h in a posted 100 km/h zone. The vehicle was subsequently intercepted.
The driver, Micheline POIRIER (39 yrs) of Gatineau, was charged with section 172 of the Ontario Highway Traffic Act for Race a motor vehicle.
The vehicle was seized and impounded for 7 days
The drivers’ licence was also seized and suspended for 7 days.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the L’Orignal Court on December 5th.
