(CHATHAM, ON) On March 18, 2017, around 9:00 p.m., Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 401 near Kent Bridge Road.
Members located the vehicle, conducted a traffic stop and while speaking with the driver, the officer determined the driver had consumed alcohol. The driver was transported to detachment for further tests.
Upon further investigation, the female driver, Michele PARENT, 57-years-old of Windsor, Ontario, was charged with drive while ability impaired, and drive motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused is required to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on April 12, 2017 to answer to the charges.
