Michael Wilson – Home Invasion – 4 Counts Assault With Weapon – 4 Counts Assault – B&E – Utter Threats – Forcible Confinement

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) Shortly after midnight on Wednesday April 27, 2011, Perth County OPP officers were dispatched to a residence on Road 125 where a person had forced his way into the home and assaulted some of the occupants.

Upon police arrival the male suspect was being restrained by the residents and was immediately detained by police. A police investigation revealed that the suspect who was known to the residents forced open the front door and started arguing with the residents. The residents attempted to calm down the suspect who continued being aggressive, assaultive, and threatening to them. The incident was witnessed by a young child who was present in the residence.

Michael Wilson (27) of the Township of Perth East has been charged with four counts of “assault with a weapon”, four counts of “assault”, “break & enter a dwelling house”, “uttering threats”, “forcible confinement”, and “possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose”. He has been remanded into custody and is to appear for a bail hearing on May 6, 2011 in Stratford Court.
