(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On October 12, 2016 at approximately 9:52 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Officers were conducting R.I.D.E. spot checks on Townline Road and Gore Road, Puslinch Township. A 2016 Kia entered the R.I.D.E. program and Officers spoke with a male driver. Police believed that he had been consuming alcohol and a roadside screening test was performed which resulted in a fail. He was arrested and brought to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.
37-year-old Michael WILSON of Toronto has been charged with Over 80 Mgs contrary to the Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on November 25, 2016. His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days as per statute.
