(CENTRE WELLINGTON TWP, ON) On Sunday May 5, 2013 at approximately 9:30pm, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) were conducting stationary radar on Highway 6 and 4th Line in Centre Wellington Township.
At this time and location Constable Frank Thronton observed a northbound 2003 Yamaha motorcycle travelling well above the speed limit. Police clocked the motorcycle on radar at 150 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. The driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Michael TOSH aged 31 years of Fergus is charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Court on June 19, 2013 to answer to the charge.
