(Kaladar, ON)- On January 14, 2016 at 8:45 p.m. an officer with the Kaladar detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police stopped a pick-up truck for speeding on Highway 7 near Kaladar, Township of Addington Highlands.
The officer detected an odour of alcohol on the driver’s breath and also coming from within the vehicle. The officer seized open liquor from the vehicle.
The driver was given a roadside alcohol screening device test, failed and arrested for over 80 mgs.
He was taken to Kaladar detachment for further testing on the Intoxilyzer.
As a result of the investigation 22 year-old Michael REILLY of South Frontenac Township has been charged with operating a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs.
He was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to attend Provincial Court in Napanee on February 9.
