Michael NICHOLAS – Drunk Driving

(ONEIDA NATION OF THE THAMES FIRST NATION, ON) – On November 30, 2016, at approximately 3:33 a.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a motor vehicle stop on River Road, near Hilltop Lane.

Officers determined that the 59-year-old male driver of the brown Chevrolet van had been drinking alcohol. He was placed under arrest, and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath tests, which revealed he had consumed more than twice the legal limit of alcohol.

As a result of the police investigation, Michael NICHOLAS, of Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation, Ontario, has been charged with driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle (alcohol), and driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA), and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London, Ontario, court on January 4, 2017.
