Michael MCGAW – Drunk Driving

(TILLSONBURG, ON.) – On December 24, 2015 at approximately 10:05 a.m. Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol observed an e-bike with no pedals travelling on Bridge Street in Tillsonburg.

Police conducted a traffic stop after observing the vehicle fail to stop for two (2) stop signs. As a result of investigation, the 29-year-old male, Michael MCGAW of Tillsonburg was charged with the following:

Driving While Ability Impaired – motor vehicle (alcohol) ~ Criminal Code

Driving with More than 80 milligrams of Alcohol in Blood ~ Criminal Code

Possession of a Schedule II substance – Cannabis Marihuana – under 30 grams ~ Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

Disobey stop sign – fail to stop ~ Highway Traffic Act

Power-assisted bicycle not in good working order ~ HTA – O.REG

The male was released on a Promise to Appear at Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on January 26, 2016.
