Michael LOUCKS – Drunk Driving

(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On July 25, 2015 members of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were patrolling Highway 141 in Seguin Township. At approximately 8:35 p.m. police observed a pick-up truck stopped at a stop sign waiting to make a left turn. Police felt it was odd that the pick-up truck took so long to make the turn. A traffic stop was initiated and police determined that the driver had consumed alcohol.

As a result of the officer’s investigation, Michael LOUCKS, 55 years of age from Seguin Township, was arrested and charged with Driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol, contrary to the Criminal Code (CC).

The accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on August 20, 2015 to answer to his charges.

The OPP is reminding motorists that there is no safe amount of alcohol consumption when driving. Anyone who suspects a driver is driving while impaired is urged to call police by dialing 9-1-1 immediately.
