Michael LANDON – Drunk Driving

(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have charged a Kenora man following a motor vehicle collision on Valley Drive in Kenora.

On Thursday July 24, 2014 just before 11:30 pm, the Kenora OPP received a report that a motor vehicle had struck two parked vehicles on Valley Drive in Kenora. Police attended and found the suspect vehicle was still at the scene but the driver was gone. Police located a male in the area shortly after and the investigation revealed him to be the driver of the suspect vehicle. The male was determined to have been consuming alcohol. He was arrested and transported for further tests.

As a result of this investigation, 18 year old Michael LANDON of Kenora has been charged with Impaired Driving contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC), Driving with More than 80 mg of Alcohol in his Blood section 253(1)(b)CC, Fail to Remain contrary to section 200(1)(a) of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) and Adult Young Driver B.A.C. above Zero section 44.1(5) HTA. He is to appear in Kenora Court on October 2, 2014 to answer to the charges.
