(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) -On December 19, 2013, at approximately 9:20 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Festive R.I.D.E. Team was conducting R.I.D.E. at Wellington County Road 39 near Wellington County Road 30, Guelph-Eramosa Twp. The driver of a 2008 Chevrolet was investigated and showed signs of alcohol consumption. A Roadside Screening Device test was administered which resulted in a fail.
The Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
Michael KANE age 36 of Kitchener has been charged with Over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on January 21, 2014 to answer to the charge.
