(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, ON) – On April 3, 2015, at approximately 9:12 a.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a possible impaired driver on Glen Oak Road near Melbourne Road, in the Municipality of Strathroy Caradoc, Ontario.
Police initiated a traffic stop and determined that the male driver of the black Dodge pickup truck had been drinking alcohol. The male was placed under arrest and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath testing.
As a result of the investigation, Michael BASLEY, age 38, from West Perth, Ontario, has been charged with driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle (alcohol), and driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was release from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to answer to the charges in a London court on May 12, 2015.
