(ST CLAIR TOWNSHIP, ON) On November 26, 2013, at around 1:00 a.m., Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a GMC vehicle in the village of Sombra, as the vehicle matched a description of a suspicious vehicle out of the Chatham-Kent area. Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) was investigating a possible break and enter.
As a result of the OPP action, an unloaded twenty-two calibre rifle was located in the cab of the vehicle, as well as a glass pipe with a suspected narcotic being found on the driver.
The driver, Michael AUTHIER, 27 years old from Wallaceburg has a Sarnia court date of January 06, 2014 to answer to a charge of possession of Methamphetamine. The driver was also issued a certificate of offence (ticket) under the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act for unlawfully possessing a firearm at night.
