(PEMBROKE, ON) – On March 24, 2017 members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), with the assistance of OPP’s Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Canine Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence in the City of Pembroke. As a result four adults and two youths were arrested and charged. Edged weapons, drug paraphernalia, cash and various types of drugs were seized.
20 year old Sebastian Vincent MCKEOWN of Pembroke and 21 year old Brooke BUCHWALD-KRIEGER of Laurentian Valley Township are both charged with the following CDSA and Criminal Code (CC) offences:
Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana under 30 grams
Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon
MCKEOWN is further charged under the CC with one count of Possession of a Weapon contrary to a Prohibition Order.
24 year old Daniel Roger Lawrence CHAPUT and 29 year old Nathaniel Mackenzie AMIKONS, both of Pembroke, and two Laurentian Valley youths – a 16 year old female and 17 year old male, are each charged with the following CDSA offence:
Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana under 30 grams
CHAPUT is further charged under the CDSA with:
Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
Both youths were released on a Promise To Appear in Pembroke Youth Court on May 11, 2017. All four adults were released on a Promise to Appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on May 2, 2017.
