On June 18, 2015, as a result of an ongoing investigation by members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit, police arrested two males and a female in Harriston with the assistance of Wellington County OPP. Items seized from the parties include: a loaded semi automatic handgun, methamphetamine with a street value of approximately $40,800., heroin, Gamma hydroxy buterate, $1600 in Canadian currency, as well as two motor vehicles. A 27 year old Kitchener male and a 25 year old Walkerton female are jointly charged with nine firearms and drug offences and will appear in Kitchener court on Friday June 19. The other male was released unconditionally.
