On June 17, 2009 at approximately 5:00 am members of the Huron OPP including the Crime Unit along with the Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) and the Rural and Agricultural Crime Team (RACT) entered a Cardiff Road Residence in Huron East under the authority of a Search Warrant. Four people, who resided in the home, were located at the time of the entry. All four were found with a quantity of illegal drugs – methamphetamine and stolen property including three vehicles. The value of the recovered methamphetamine is estimated to be approximately $700.00
The following people were arrested and charged.
Stacy Howald (27) was charged with one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine and three counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
James Jauch (39) was also charged with one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine and three counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
Christine Kirkwood (28) was charged with one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine, three counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and one count of Breach Probation.
Joshua Lieshout (19) charged with one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine and three counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
All four were held in police custody pending a bail hearing in the Goderich Court on June 18, 2009.
The investigation remains ongoing and further charges may be pending.
