On Thursday August 14, 2014 at approximately 3:44 p.m. Waterloo Regional Police were contacted by several members of the public in regards to a person walking in traffic on Fairway Road South in front of Fairview Park Mall. Police responded and located a 48 year old female walking in the northbound lanes of traffic. The female was apprehended under the Mental Health Act by Police and transported to Grand River Hospital for an assessment. The female did not suffer any injuries as a result of the incident and was admitted to hospital for further evaluation. Family members were contacted and advised of the incident.
