(Marmora) – On January 29, 2017 just after midnight members of Peterborough O.P.P received a complaint of a possible impaired driver leaving the drive thru of a restaurant on Matthew Street in the Municipality of Marmora and Lake. When officers stopped the vehicle they found the driver had been consuming alcohol and she was subsequently arrested. Members of Central Hastings O.P.P attended to assist with the investigation.
As a result 31 year old Melanie COOPER of Marmora, ON was arrested and charged with Driving With More Than 80mgs of Alcohol in Blood.
She received a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension and her vehicle was impounded for 7 days. She will appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on March 2, 2017.
