(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) – County of Brant Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were conducting an R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Drivers Everywhere) check at the Eighth Concession and the East Quarter Townline Road in the County of Brant on December 20, 2014.
At approximately 9:55 p.m. officers stopped a black Pontiac. While the officer was talking to the driver, he could smell the odour of alcohol. The officer gave the driver the Roadside Screening Test, and as a result of the test the male driver was transported to the Brantford City Police Services for Intoxilyzer Tests.
Maurice GILES 21 years of age from the County of Brant is facing the following criminal charge
Drive Over 80 mgs of Blood Alcohol Content
The accused is scheduled to attend Provincial Court in Brantford on January 9, 2015 to answer to the charge.
