(HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, ON) On Sunday August 18, 2013 at about 5:10 pm Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were advised of a suspicious vehicle in a field on Stanton Road in Hamilton Township, Ontario. This vehicle was revving its engine drawing attention to the complainant.
OPP officers went to the scene and found two males with the vehicle and under the influence of alcohol. The three males were arrested as part of the investigation and it was determined that one male was presently on conditional sentence order and to be under house arrest. The male was breaching the terms of his order and transported to Northumberland OPP detachment in Cobourg. He was also found to be in possession of a quantity of marihuana once in detention.
Matthew Spencer FRY, 20 from Cobourg Ontario has been charged with three counts of breaching conditional sentence order under the Criminal Code and possession of marijuana under 30 grams under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. The accused was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on Monday August 19, 2013 at 1:30 pm. The other two males were released unconditionally.
